Sri Lankan President Maithripala Sirisena has launched a scathing attack on the state of the cashews offered by his country’s national airline.
The BBC reports that Sirisena claimed the snack given to him wasn’t even suitable for dogs.
The offending cashews were served on a Sri Lankan Airlines flight from Nepal to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Sirisena let rip at a meeting with farmers.
“When I returned from Nepal, they served some cashew nuts on the plane (that), let alone humans, even dogs can’t eat,” reports the BBC.
“Who approved the cashew? Who is responsible for this?”
A different form of “nut rage” hit the headlines in 2014 when Cho Hyun Ah, the Korean Air heiress, delayed a flight in New York after she was offered macadamia nuts in an unopened bag, rather than on a plate.
